On the A List
Every good producer has an A-list crew. They're the people that you rely on to get the job done, and in this business once someone has proven themself reliable they are worth their weight in gold.
But what happens if a key crewmember is unavailable for a shoot date? Or gets sick at the last minute? Or moves to LA? It would be good if you could bring in someone experienced and on the ball.
I've been working in the Atlanta market for 10 years, and have experience in numerous phases of production including camera, post, pre-production, art department, and set design. Over the years I have proven to be a consistently reliable problem-solver. I can bring that track record to your next shoot.
Working as an editor or cameraman I play a specific role, but I understand how the whole puzzle fits together. My experience and work ethic will show that you can count on me to deliver exactly what you need - on time and on budget.

Professional Video Editing
Editing is one of the most critical phases of production, and can make or break even the best-looking footage.
I understand that it's not just about cutting and assembling a timeline - it's about storytelling. If the final cut doesn't tell a story, your story, then you haven't gotten your message across to the audience.
For me, the edit process doesn't start when I begin logging footage; it starts much earlier in the process. By listening to your vision and developing an understanding of your perspective I'm better able to tell your story and deliver your message.
Of course, once the story is complete it has to be delivered. Depending on your project, you may need the video compressed for web streaming, mastered for DVD distribution or laid back to tape for final delivery. My edit suite runs Final Cut Pro, as well as the following post-production software:

With this full-featured package I can provide nearly any post-production that you may need including editing video, sweetening the soundtrack, and creating still or motion graphics for intros, title sequences, bumpers and credits.
For DVD production I can create motion graphics for the menus, and author the DVD content for small or large quantity duplication. Online content will include compression of the finished video for best-quality web streaming, and I can upload it directly to your server. Of course, if you require any custom delivery specifications I can handle those as well.

Camera
Let's face it - with equipment costs plunging, anyone with a spare $3,000 can be a cameraman, right? Well just because someone can afford a Fender Stratocaster doesn't mean they can play like Jimi Hendrix.
I've been shooting video and stills for many years going all the way back to the late 80's when I got started covering events and weddings. Since that time I have worked with and learned the craft from a number of skilled DP's on everything from highly produced set pieces to run-and-gun reality TV. Along the way I've learned not only how to deliver the goods but also how to solve problems, and even more importantly how to come prepared to avoid them.
I typically work with a lightweight, highly mobile setup. My equipment package includes a Sony HVR-Z1 HDV camera and Sennheiser wireless and shotgun mics. I can work with a variety of other equipment as appropriate.
I am experienced shooting in natural light with minimal additional lighting, and still delivering properly balanced, focused and well-composed footage. My camera work is informed by my editing experience, and I am knowledgeable about shooting adequate cutaways and coverage to provide editing options.
I'm available as first or second camera, and can work locally in the Atlanta area or am available to travel.
